Cotton balls soaked with local anaesthetic spray (such as lidocaine 10%). Follow this by infiltrating a local anaesthetic over the whole area of the spur which is about to be removed, as well as submucosal infiltration with a sufficient amount of anaesthetic on the other side of the nasal septum in order to elevate the mucosa from the septum. This will prevent a perforation occurring during the removal of spur.Begin after 5 - 6 min.

METHOD OF USE

With the pointed blade of the special ultrasound scalpel and the attachment activated (using the foot pedal) pressing slowly and continuously, cut the cartilaginous part of the nasal spur together with the mucosa, along the entire length on the side where the spur is situated.
